How we use and protect information about you

As a client or someone making an enquiry, your data will be held and used by Solindan Architects Ltd. The person responsible for the data is the director, Dominic Severs.

We use your personal data (name, contact details and other information relevant to the enquiry or project) to deal with your enquiry and propose services, to carry out the architects’ services agreed with you, and to meet our contractual and other legal obligation after our services have ended (typically these obligations run for six or twelve years depending on the form of services contract).

We do not share your data except as necessary in the circumstances outlined above and to carry out the services agreed with you - for instance to enquire by email or telephone with structural engineers, contractors, product manufacturers and suppliers, insurers and insurance brokers, specialist consultants and so on. These may, on occasion be outside of the UK.

Your data is obtained directly from you or from public sources of information such as the Land Registry and local authority Planning Registers. We will ask you periodically if the information we have is correct.

You can request access to, or correction or deletion of, your data, or the exercise of any of your rights over your own data by contacting the director by telephone, in person or by email at dominic.severs@solindan.com.

If you believe your data has been misused or a request about your data has not been handled correctly, you may complain to the regulator, the Information Commissioner’s Office via their website, here.

We do not make automated decisions or do profiling based on the data we hold.

Data held by us electronically is password protected. Paper project records are held at our office, which is not accessed by the public and is secure.
